Social Issue: public health

 

 Hello everyone, this time I will talk about public health in Chile. This topic is a big problem present in the actual society and it is very important. I think that Chile is a country that lacks development, there are several problems in the population that need to be heard in order to someday improve public health. The health system of Chile  is made up of a mixed care system integrated by Fonasa, which is the insurance of the national health fund and a private system called Isapre. Generally, the health system causes social unrest due to big reasons that can be observed day by day in the endless waiting lists, people who die waiting for an operation, lack of supplies in publics hospitals,  huge hospital debts, a list that does not have end and that with the pandemic is has clearly been affected. If you take care of yourself in a public health establishment in some cases you can observe a great difference in terms of private health due to the treatment of personnel or in terms of the provision of supplies and technology,  bad experiences cause that citizens do not feel adequately protected  with public health and many times they have to get debt or save money for them to go to a private establishment where they will feel more secure. However not everyone can choose this option due to the great inequality present in the country.

My future Job

 Hello everyone! I will talk about the my future job. I am studying Chemistry and Pharmacy, I am in the third year of this career. In the future I would like to work in several things for example, in a laboratory or participate in research for new drugs development and also I would like to live in another country so I can continue studying but it is difficult because I need money and I don’t know how to speak english (I am very bad at english). In addition to what I said before, I would like to work in a pharmacy in a remote town in a place with a lot of green places, like for example, the south of Chile or in a rural village outside Londres. And I would help people through community activities such as workshops about the rational use of medicines, natural medicine, interactions between drugs and food, secondary effects and all interesting topics for people. My other job option would be clinical practice at hospitals with children specialty units but it is much more complex due to capacitation needed for this job in comparation with pharmacy work. Nevertheless, both areas are interesting and have many positives aspects that would allow me to improve professionally and personally in the course of my life.

My cat

 

Hello! Because this blog is about a free topic, I will talk about my cat called Cabezoncita.

Three years ago my dad gave me three cats called Manchitas, Plomiza and Cabezoncita, they were small and very different. I really did not  like cats before but now I have changed my mind and love these cats. My cat Cabezoncita is very quiet and  loving, she likes to share with others cats! She is very sociable. Why is she called Cabezoncita? Because when she was little her head was bigger compared to her body.

She likes to play with me in the garden when I have  a  thread of wool and she chases it.

The last weekend the veterinary came to visit her at the house but she did not want this and ran to the garden! The veterinarian, my mom and I had to find her and reassure her.

 I wanted to talk about my pet because I think she is very important in my life, thank to her I learned to value and love the animals more and I began to see the life from a different point of view. I started to understand better that they feel everything  the same way as us.

My future profession

Hello!, I will talk about my future profession. I am studying Chemistry and Pharmacy. I believe that is a very interesting career but very difficult!                          

This career is related with the sciences of the health and the application of drugs. It is a fundamental profession for the people because our survival depend the most of the time of medicines.

This career have an wide working field because it has many areas to work, like for example the areas of; community pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry and cosmetic industry. 

I think the role of the pharmaceutical chemist is important because is a professional committed to the health of the patient through the production of drugs of quality, the rational use of drugs and many more. 

I chose to study chemistry and pharmacy because I was interested in studying a career related to health but I did not want to have to see blood directly! 

Then when I found this career I felt that it was my future profession because it had many things that I wanted to do in the future with my life.

A of the best holidays

 

Hello! for me it is difficult to choose one of my favorite vacations because I believe that all the trips with my family are important! but now I will talk about my vacations in the summer  of 2019, first I traveled with my mother, my brother and stepfather to Galvarino near Temuco in the ninth region and then I went from Galvarino to Temuco to continue traveling but with my dad and my stepmother. We traveled from Temuco to Chiloé Island. The trip was almost all February where we went to Coñaripe, Lican-Ray, Villarrica, Pucón, Valdivia, Frutillar, Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and Chiloe Island. 

We went to tourist places like for example The Huio-Huilo biological reserve where we walked a lot bit without hesitation it was worth to appreciate everything! The beauty of nature is impressive, its energy, everything is really beautiful! Before I had not had the opportunity to appreciate the south of our country like this and definitively I would go again.

Which country would you like to go to?

                                                                                  

I would like travel to many countries for example; Greece, Egypt, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Turkey and many more. I have not favorite country but if I would travel my fist option is United Kingdom. It is in Europe and its capital is London. I would travel to United Kingdom because I like its landscapes and writers, specially Jane Austen and I think that is an interesting country. Also I would like to go an english speaking country because the english language is difficult for me. I know that UK is an island with a lot of history and that It is compound by England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I would like visit the historical places, learn more about its culture, travel to the places where the novels classics were written and were imagined for example the novel called pride and prejudice. If I had the opportunity to study something related with my career and learn to speak english in UK I would like to live there but for a short time and I would to know the lifestyle of British people.
